Larry Datson was a founder member of the Cornwall County Car Club and was appointed as the web site manager from the clubs beginning. Larry is also well known as a former racing and competitions driver regularly competing on the County racing circuits and far afield.
Of late due to health issues and the need to look after his wife Gill Larry reluctantly took the decision to stand down as web site manager, as from the 2025 AGM. To mark his contribution to the club the executive committee commissioned a commemorative certificate in honour of his dedicated service. The Chairman John and several committee officers met with Larry at Tehidy Park Golf Club where the presentation was made. A bouquet of flowers was presented to Larry to take home to Gill who sadly couldn’t be present.
The club is eternally grateful to Larry for the massive contribution he has made in promoting the club through the ever-popular web site. All members join in wishing Larry and Gill a long and happy retirement. Larry will remain as an honorary life member of The Cornwall County Car Club.
