The Waverley Paddle Steamer Cruise
Last Sunday, 24th. May, 26 Members and friends gathered at Mevagissey to board the 1946 Waverley Paddle Steamer. The cruise took us to the Eddystone Lighthouse, which we circumnavigated, then on passing the Plymouth sound and along part of the Devon coast before turning and headed into the Barbican area at Plymouth. Breakfast, Run and Visit to Montana Valley Garden
May 17th. the Club Members gathered at the Bay Tree, Goonhavern for breakfast. This was organised by our New Chairman Ivan Barrett. Spring Road Run with Lunch
Our April 16th. meet was at the Carnon Downs Garden Centre for coffee. This day organised by Richard Uren who gave out sheets with a suggested route and saw us driving through beautiful Cornish countryside on roads some of us had not ventured on previously. Richard had agreed with the management of the Trebah Gardens for us to have a section of their restaurant for our lunches. Cornwall County Car Club AGM 2026
The 12th. AGM was held on March 3rd. 2026 at The County Arms, Truro. The Meeting was well attended with the usual reports given by the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. It was agreed that the Carnon Downs Memory Cafe and the St.Austell Bay Coastguard should benefit from the money raised from the Club's charity raffle at Christmas. Cornwall County Car Club, Car Run & Lunch , March 11th 2026
Dear members and friends, thank you all for participating in the road run on 11th March the run took us to some very interesting places, like seeing Wheal Jane, visiting Devoran and then Mylor Bridge. We travelled through Penryn to Falmouth, taking the scenic route passing Castle beach and along to Swanpool. We passed FLIKA, the donkey sanctuary and then on for lunch at the Olive Grove near Perranarworthal. We had a good day, and the weather was with us all the way.

CORNWALL COUNTY CAR CLUB VISIT TO THE SEARCH AND RESCUE HELICOPTER BASE ST MAWGAN WEDNESDAY 19TH November 2025.
Twenty members gathered at the Cookhouse Restaurant at Fraddon for lunch prior to a visit to the SAR helicopter base at St Mawgan. The visit last year was over subscribed and so this year the twenty members who were not fortunate to attend then were given the opportunity to tour the base and get up close to the Helicopter. On Tuesday 14th, 24 members met at the Homeleigh Garden Centre at Carnon Downs nr Truro at 10.15 a.m. for coffee. We left there a little earlier than planned as there had been a significant accident nearby resulting in the closure of the dual carriageway.
