The Waverley Paddle Steamer Cruise

Last Sunday, 24th. May, 26 Members and friends gathered at Mevagissey to board the 1946 Waverley Paddle Steamer.

The cruise took us to the Eddystone Lighthouse, which we circumnavigated, then on passing the Plymouth sound and along part of the Devon coast before turning and headed into the Barbican area at Plymouth. We were here for a while, because some passengers alighted, and we enjoyed the hustle and bustle and music that emanated from the Barbican.

We set sail again close to the Heritage coast and the Rame head and slowly back to Mevagissey. We enjoyed the commentary and the beautiful calm sea with absolutely gorgeous weather. We were so lucky to be able to join this remarkable ship who rarely visit's our shores and enjoy such a wonderful day.
