On Tuesday 14th, 24 members met at the Homeleigh Garden Centre at Carnon Downs nr Truro at 10.15 a.m. for coffee.
We left there a little earlier than planned as there had been a significant accident nearby resulting in the closure of the dual carriageway.
With our members being guided through a diversion, we eventually got back on track through Penryn and Falmouth. We then drove past Swanpool and Maenporth Beaches and into Mawnan Smith.
Then through Treverva and into Gweek, continuing on minor roads we made our way to Cury cross and then into Mullion and on to the Polurrian Hotel, overlooking Mounts Bay.
We had lunch in the Vista lounge giving us panoramic views, but sadly low cloud restricted those views.
We enjoyed superb food there, and our thanks go to the staff who were really kind and helpful.
Members left the hotel around 3.15 p.m. for their individual explorations in the area.
A good day being dry but overcast.
