Presentation to John Denton on his retirement as Chairman
On the 21st July 2026 members of the Executive Committee met at the Carlyon Bay Hotel St Austell to present John Denton with a commemorative plaque to mark his retirement as Chairman of the Cornwall County Car Club.
The presentation was made by the current Chairman, Mr Ivan Barrett who also presented John’s wife Janet with a bouquet of flowers.
John has served on the Executive Committee since the Clubs inception and succeeded Philip Buddell as Chairman after Philip’s death four years ago. John was a very active and popular Chairman always present at Club functions and ever present to assist with sound advice.
John and Janet will remain valued members of the Club and will always receive a warm welcome at club events.
